Two Days

My boss submitted her letter of resignation (moving on to bigger and better things and I like her so this is great) and that means since the department doesn’t want to train a new her and a new me for next year I get my job again! Which is I guess not super exciting because its a boring job, but it’s super financially solid. And I also am getting to pick up an extra five or so hours a week until the endof the school year!

I wrote the coolest paper ever on the coolest book ever and made the coolest connection ever! And it was all in german. Fantastisch!

It snowed again. In April. So I decided not to let the godawful weather control my life and I went shopping. And I found one (1) American Apparel skirt for only ten bucks at a thrift store. And then at the used bookstore I found an Orson Scott Card book that is so out of print I barely knew it existed.I have never once seen this book in a store, the library, or even on Amazon. It cost me two dollars to obtain the most incredible item I’ve ever stumbled upon ever and I was so excited that I stopped caring about the fact that it was raining frozen slush in April.

I had a lovely night with my boyfriend.

A couple weeks ago when I was flat broke I agreed to work a couple hours at Hillel. So even though I recently came into like a million dollars (thanks for the early birthday Grandma), I went overthere after class to help Passover-ify the kitchen. Basically, removing all history of all leavened bread from the entire basement/food service/dining area. It was hard work, I was exhausted, and it felt great. Sometimes a few solid hours of physical labor is rewarding.

I saw Betsy! We had dinner at noodles and talked about past weeks and future weeks and boys and vacations and it was oh so delightful.

I saw the Spring Pride Showcase: lots of delectable drag and dress up. Plus free candy from the abstinence folks.

Last and perhaps the best of all Aly is here and we’re chit chatting this very second- so au revoir!
