Great Books that are basically scifi for the most part

ok so in order to do this well i really need my bookshelf but i'm gonna jot down what i can think of and then i'll update it over break

left behind series (ok soooo these are actually christian fiction about the rapture, when jesus comes and picks up all the good people, and the maybe good maybe not people are left behind and satan comes and they have to pick sides and etc. but anyways i read several of them and they're really cool end of the world sci fi books if you look at it that way)

robert louis stephenson

dr jeckyll and mr hyde (havent read but its a classic)

frankenstein (havent read, classic)
the last man (havent read, another end of the world one, seems promising)

oscar wilde

the picture of dorian gray (not exactly sci fi, one of the best books ever)

margaret peterson haddix(young adult books but theyre pretty good)

shadow children series(about a forbidden third child in a world with population laws, the first one is among the hidden)
running out of time(very very similar to m night shamylans the village)
turnabout(backwards aging or something..growing younger and losing memories and having to find a way to stop it)

douglas adams

the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy
the restaurant at the end of the universe
life the universe and everything
