Weeks later, Dude and I resolved (via text) that we would not pursue any sort of romantic/sexual relationship because of our age difference and his job and how that could be problematic.

So Dude says "I appreciate your patience and grace in navigating these boundaries, though."

And I says, "Kid, I don't navigate boundaries, I shatter them. But I still appreciate being told I was patient and graceful."
