Sean and I have now visited Berlin, Geseke, and Amsterdam. We're pondering Brussels? Has anyone been to Brussels? What should we do in Brussels? We will only be there for a day- but we are taking two night trains! That means two free nights of sleep!
Ummm what have we done in brief: or rather, the single coolest thing so far in my opinion: We accidentally went to Anne Frank's House. Apparently the secret annex is in Amsterdam, and it's been made into a phenomenal museum. Standing in Anne Frank's bedroom- eerie and haunting.
Also of note, when female and traveling with single male companion, I recommend being siblings. Sean and I pretended to be step brother and sister in Amsterdam just for fun, and it ended up working out phenomenally. As Sean's little sister I'm automatically 'off limits' in the minds of the strangers in our room, which made me feel a lot safer. Longer letter later about how different relationship labels affect peoples judgements about you? In the moment I am tired.
Love you a whole lot <3
Oh right: New Years Resolutions: keep track of how much goddamned money I am spending, don't bite fingernails, do get a's, don't miss work, actually wake up and make Greg breakfast for a change, and make plans for and go on another cool trip soon.

I want to stand in Anne Frank's room so she's real. Now she's some words on a page. A narrator in a very sad story that I know is true but is still a book I read when I was smaller. I miss you.
Also: tell greg about your days anyway. jake never asks, but I know (hope? pretend? think?) he likes it when I tell him things. loves.
