There is nothing better than driving home from downtown in the snow at six in the morning and listening to Radio Milwaukee. And that is how my day started.

Also, yesterday at work I stopped one of our worst shoplifters. She came in with two other people and I jumped up and asked her All About Her Favorite Fragrances! And then I asked if she had Tried The Brand New Isle Of Pink Yet? And whether she Absolutely Loved Ooh La La As Much As I Did? So she realized that this peppy as fuck sales associate was not going to leave her alone and she walked back out- giant fucking purse empty. I like being good at what I do.
Then later today I picked up Dubliners (I feel like it’s about time I read James Joyce). I read The Sisters and Araby. It was a positive experience. Both of them are more along the lines of detailed short recordings of life than stories with rising and falling action. The back of the book said the development occurs across the fifteen stories, as they move from childlike and private to more mature and public.
I think that’s what’s important for the last 24 hours.
