Shabbos was delightful. I slept in. I had breakfast. And then I took a nap. It felt so, so good to be well rested.
Of course, I couldn’t spend a whole entire day in Israel laying in bed, and that evening our bus dropped us off in a nearby town and we got some time to explore and enjoy ourselves. A group of us decided to get Chinese for dinner, and with Tzur’s help translating our orders we eventually managed this. The food was delicious, and the conversation delightful- I think this was when Emily, Alla, and I decided to get our noses pierced? (Mom, I got my nose pierced- sorry. I love you!). Once we finished and figured out how to pay, we headed over to bar. We hung out there for awhile, and I tried my first appletini! A few of the girls danced on the tables, Tzur managed to get me a free beer, and we had a wonderful time. Eventually we got on the bus and went back to the kibbutz, where the party continued.
